John Lucht, Author.
John Lucht founded The John Lucht Consultancy Inc. in 1977 after 6 years as a prominent member and then an officer of Heidrick and Struggles in New York. Objective: to do searches with only a very limited number of client companies off-limits, instead of protecting all the clients of a giant firm which, at that time, already had over 2,000 client relationships.

Today, John handles much of our search activity personally and supervises all of it. "Even after more than 30 years of executive recruiting," he says, "there's nothing I enjoy more than the challenge of identifying and attracting the best possible candidates for a senior management position. Do your work well, and you see your clients prospering and gaining competitive advantage in their industry. It's exciting to scout for a team you can help to become a pennant winner."

John has recruited CEOs and heads of virtually every major function in a wide range of industries and in educational and cultural institutions as well.

Prior to entering executive search, John had a decade of experience in consumer products advertising, marketing and general management at J. Walter Thompson Company, Bristol-Myers, and Tetley Tea.

An alert observer and a gifted writer, John Lucht is also a highly successful author. His Rites of Passage at $100,000 to $1 Million+ has consistently been America's and the world's #1 bestselling book on executive job-changing and career management ever since it first appeared in 1988 and it still remains unchallenged at the top of that category. His other books are the Executive Job-Changing Workbook and the widely acclaimed Insights for the Journey...Navigating to Thrive, Enjoy and Prosper in Senior Management.

John Lucht's B.S. and Law degrees are from the University of Wisconsin.
